In the UK, what people might know about me is that I’m the wife of the late Dave Myers, my husband being a legend on British television as part of the duo called the Hairy Bikers.
What people don’t know about me is that my story started in communist Romania, and that my experience of growing up in communism, being a mom, moving homes, countries, changing languages and even my way of life, shaped me as a person, while losing my husband to a long battle with cancer shaped my entire world in ways I couldn’t control. And yet, I consider that my experience was my greatest turning point and, my loss was the source of my deepest strength and my teacher.
A Chance Meeting
When people ask me how I got to live in the UK, I answer that a man on his bike brought me here.
Dave and I met in 2005 while he was filming in Romania one of the very first episode of the Hairy Bikers series.
I accidentally ended up helping them with location and interpreting and I even had my first bike ride on the back of Dave’s bike. We stayed in touch via emails and phone calls for a couple of years before we decided to give it a try. And what a wonderful ride we had together!!!

The Mission
My mission is to gently guide people through the pain of losing someone they love. I help them make sense of their grief, honour their connection, and find a way to grow and go forward, carrying not just loss, but love, with grace, compassion, and renewed strength.
